About Vaccines Europe
Vaccines Europe is the specialised vaccines group within the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
We represent vaccine companies of all sizes operating in Europe, and currently our membership includes all the major global innovative and research-based vaccine companies, including small and medium-sized enterprises. We have operated in Brussels for over 30 years and provide a cohesive, united and strong voice for the vaccine industry in Europe.
Our Public Affairs/Advocacy activities include outreach and coordination of external engagement on specific policy files and legislative proposals; focusing on the European Parliament, Council, Commission and external stakeholders.
Role and responsibilities
The intern would be part of Vaccines Europe team and report to the Director Public Affairs & Country Liaison.
Responsibilities would include:
- Monitor activities in related vaccination / health policy dossiers at EU level;
Support in the development and running of the Vaccines Europe campaign on the EU elections; - Support the organisation of Public Affairs and Market Access Working Groups (draft agenda, logistics, minutes) as well as set up meetings with policy makers and other stakeholders;
- Actively participate to Vaccines Europe weekly team meetings;
Update the internal Public Affairs and communication databases and contact lists; - Support in the development and analysis of surveys with national associations on the vaccination related topics.
Candidate Profile
- A University degree or late education in political science, public health, law, economics or medicine;
- First experience in EU Public Affairs is a plus; a health policy background is preferable though not essential;
- In-depth knowledge of the functioning of the European institutions and of legislative procedures;
- Fluency in English both written and spoken;
- Good knowledge of MS Office software package;
- Right to work and live within the EU.

- Open and positive mindset and able to easily establish contacts through networking;
- Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple tasks under pressure and respect deadlines;
- Curiosity, proactivity and high motivation;
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
Terms and conditions
You will be offered a professional integration agreement (immersion professionnelle) in Brussels for a maximum of 6 months. You must not have already completed a 12 Month ‘immersion professionnelle’ or have been in full time professional employment yet. Working hours are from 09:00 until 18:00 Monday to Friday with a one-hour break for lunch. The intern will be entitled to 6 days holiday plus national bank holidays.
